With Halloween out of the way for another year, we finally enter into the month of November – yaaay! November is one of my favourite months, purely because of the build up that leads to Christmas, and trust me, this gal LOVES Christmas! But before I get too excited and completely go off topic, I thought that it would be nice (or reasonable in better words) to set myself a few goals for this month. I like to feel that I am achieving something and with the help of noting them down, I’m hoping that I will feel more motivated in making sure that I achieve my goals by the end of the month.
1. Eat More Healthy
To be honest, I eat pretty healthy anyway and I rarely eat crap. However, having to commute to University three days a week means that I spend most of the day there. During the times that I get hungry, I try my very best to stick to Salad, but sometimes my hands can’t keep away from a BLT. Of course, having one now and then isn’t a bad thing, but I know that having one every other day will turn into everyday and that’s the trap I can’t fall under! Maybe during the evenings, I could Pre make Lunches, ready for the next day. That way, I save money and also know that what I am eating is healthy! A double winner!
2. Start Focusing On Uni Assignments
Assignments have started, oh the j o y! I want to do well at University but at the moment, I seem to have a mindset that the Assignment deadline is further away than it really is. Sure it’s a couple of weeks away but I can guarantee that those weeks will fly by! I want to make sure that I use the free hours that I have at Univerisity, to do work and to also make use of the Library after I finish my classes.
3. Accept More Me Time
This is something that I forget to do and it’s so damn important. I miss laying in bed with Netflix displayed on my laptop and feeling good about doing absolutely nothing. Wether it’s watching a film, listening to music or taking my dog for a walk, I will make sure that I will do something at the weekend that enables me to have some me time.
4. Start Looking At Internships
I have three years to complete internships, but I think the earlier I start looking, the better. Even if it’s just some research or getting my CV and a few cover notes together, I will have accomplished a goal.
5. Listen To More Podcasts
A few months ago, I was a complete Podcast virgin. I knew what they were and knew that they are popular but for some reason, I just never got into them. Recently, my course director recommended a podcast called Serial – about a guy who was charged with a first degree murder of his ex Girlfriend. I found it Fascinatingly Bizarre and has made me want to explore into the world of Podcasts. If you know any good ones then please let me know in the comments!
That concludes my goals for November. Will I complete them? I sure do hope so! The challenge is on and no matter how much time I spend procrastinating about each and every one of them, I will try my very hardest! What are your November goals? Let me know in the comments!
